right of cancellation
You may exercise your right of cancellation and return the goods within 14 calendar days from the moment you take physical possession of them, without stating a reason.
To exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform the entropy.press online store ("ENTROPY.PRESS") by sending an unequivocal statement via email to info@entropypress.eu. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the 14-day period expires. Upon receiving your email, we will inform you and provide instructions on how and where to return the item.
The cancellation period expires 14 calendar days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods. To avoid misunderstandings, please ensure upon receipt that the item fully corresponds to your order: title, edition, condition, and other key specifications.
If you cancel this contract, the online store will refund all payments received for the item under the relevant distance contract, excluding delivery charges and return postage costs, no later than 14 days from the date entropy.press receives the returned goods.
When returning an item, you must ensure suitable transport packaging; specifically, the item’s original packaging must be enclosed within another protective transport package to avoid damage during transit. Otherwise, postal carriers may refuse to accept the parcel. To avoid misunderstandings, we recommend insuring the return shipment, as you assume responsibility for any damage incurred during transport.
If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, please remember that you are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning (to the same extent as permitted prior to purchase in a physical bookshop). You are responsible for any handling that exceeds this purpose, fails to align with principles of good faith, or reduces the value, quality, and safety of the item.
Under Latvian Law, Regulation No. 255 of the Cabinet of Ministers of May 20, 2014, "Regulations on Distance Contracts" (“Noteikumi par distances līgumu”), Section 22, the consumer cannot exercise the right of cancellation if:
-
The price of the product depends on financial market fluctuations beyond the seller's control;
-
The item is made to the consumer's specific instructions or is clearly personalized (e.g. custom art editions or signed works);
-
The consumer has unsealed audio, video, or software recordings;
-
The contract concerns digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, if delivery has begun with the consumer's express prior consent and acknowledgement of forfeiting the right of cancellation.
The entropy.press online store notes that if a loss in value of the returned item is established, legal proceedings may be initiated against the consumer to cover losses resulting from their actions.
procedure for submitting and reviewing complaints
The statutory claim period for purchased goods is 24 months from the date of purchase.
If a non-conformity appears within six months of purchase, it is presumed to have existed on the date of purchase, unless such a presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the non-conformity.
If the purchased item proves non-conforming, the consumer has the right to request:
-
First – remedy of the defect free of charge or exchange of the item within a reasonable timeframe, unless this is impossible or disproportionate.
-
Second – if the defect is not remedied within a reasonable period, a price reduction or cancellation of the contract and a full refund (unless the defect is minor).
Any dispute with the seller should first be resolved through informal negotiations, seeking an agreement orally or in writing. The seller must respond within 15 working days.
If a dispute cannot be resolved, the consumer may apply to:
-
The Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) for assistance;
-
An out-of-court dispute resolution body;
-
The Consumer Dispute Resolution Commission;
-
A court of competent jurisdiction.
out-of-court dispute resolution procedure
Please submit any complaints regarding availability or quality electronically to info@entropypress.eu. Complaints will be reviewed within 7 working days.
If a complaint is deemed unfounded and you disagree, you may submit a written application for out-of-court dispute resolution specifying your name, contact details, date, and the nature of the claim.

Damage caused by natural forces is not eligible for compensation.
