The Swedish Art Publishing House has launched the book "Some Instances of Encounters between Imagination and Matter", dedicated to the artist Andris Eglītis, focusing on his 2024 exhibition at the Latvian National Museum of Art. The publication by the author, photographer Reinis Hofmanis, is a documentation of Eglītis's work process and results. It includes essays by art historian Santa Hirša and curator Jūnatan Habib Engkvist, as well as a conversation with the artist by poet Agnese Krivade.

Andris Eglītis’ form of expression can be captured in variety of paintings, sculptures and architectonic installations made combining oil paint and the wood, soil, sand and clay obtained on site at his countryside in Drusti, Latvia. His works represent the fascination with nature/human relationships as well as the perception of reality and materiality in art.

2025, Arvinius + Orfeus Publishing, 181 pp., Latvian and English
